Our Comenius project on good behaviour has been completed. Final reports have been prepared and all the final products are now ready to share with other interested parties. All partners have worked hard during the Summer so that the September 30th reporting deadline was met. Final products have been uploaded to a common European database and will be available to the wider educational community.

The partner schools looked at how we address other people. Some people have titles while other people have special names e.g. pet names. We looked at what people think about nicknames and found that most people like to be called by their own name.

The project team met during the mid-term break in Lisbon , Portugal. They were warmly welcomed by the staff and children of Externato Santa Catarina.  This is a school for younger children aged from 2 months to 10 years. What a welcoming and delightful group of students and teachers.

Tinka Lacemaker has arrived from Vrtec in Idrija, Slovenia. She is beautifully dressed and came fully equipped with all her lacemaking equipment. We have had a video conference with Lewes School in Sussex. The children in Lewes had many questions for us.They wanted to know what we thought of Jedward in X Factor, whether we do a Christmas show and lots of other things.We played a tune on our whistles for them and we look forward to hearing from them again.Next time they have promised to sing a song for us.

Ovens children returned to school on the bus on the day of the big win. The girls were treated to chips, gougons, coke and orange in the Killumney Inn when they returned home. Paddy sat in the bus and enjoyed the celebrations and good cheer on the way.

Sixth class children have today collected the entries from classes throughout the school for the competition based on "Creating a language free zone" in Ovens. Today 6th class performed their item about Happiness in the local festival of music and song in Cork City. This took place in Father Matthew Hall. A wonderful display of song, music and dance was experienced by all who attended.
