St. Patrick's Day Videoconference

St. Patrick's Day is our National Holiday and is celebrated on March 17th. This year we presented a number of cultural activities for some of our partner schools. We dressed up in our green and gold hats, hairbands and other St. Patrick's Day attire and presented a variety of displays. We brought together the art work which had been completed by classes throughout the school and showed Leprechauns, shamrocks and harps. We played a number of Irish tunes, sang some songs, Daniel played the piano and dancers displayed some Irish figure dancing. Our partner schools enjoyed the display and we had great fun entertaining them.
We are proud of our cultural heritage and in Ovens we have a proud tradition of engaging in many aspects of Irish culture.
We recited some Irish prayers and performed Irish choral verse.
